Whole Nutmeg is the inner kernel of the fruit of an evergreen tree, oval in shape, and about 3/4- to 1-inch long. Grating Whole Nutmeg just before use gives you a more vibrant and aromatic option than pre-ground nutmeg. Nutmeg is delicious in puddings, eggnog, spiced wine, muffins, apple pie and other sweet dishes. It’s also wonderful in savory dishes such as pasta, onion sauces, steamed spinach, and braised vegetables.
